About beautiful view

'Our days are a kaleidoscope. Every instant a change takes place in the contents. New harmonies, new contrasts, new combinations of every sort. Nothing ever happens twice alike. The most familiar people stand each moment in some new relation to each other, to their work, to surrounding objects.'

~ Henry Ward Beecher

The successful Melbourne Design Festival PopUp installation project submission is the work of long time friends and creative partners, Annette Wagner and Bec Smith. Their PopUp installation, titled ‘Beautiful View’, will be one of only 21 PopUp events featured at this year’s popular Melbourne Design Festival.

Our PopUp installation name, 'Beautiful View', derives from the Greek word 'Kaleidoscope' and is the creative inspiration for making a giant kaleidoscope, that will be placed in various locations around Federation Square for the duration of the festival. The objective of the kaleidoscope installation is to harness the shifting landscape of the city and its people, combining to create a rich pattern of colour and shape, with no single view alike.
