Christmas Card A friend asked me to create a Christmas card for his company, a traditional dye stamping specialist, who wanted to showcase the multi-layered and colour techniques of the craft. The criterion was, "Anything but Santa or Rudolph, and something like Rembrandt". After absorbing myself in a Tim Winton novel, I decided an anti-theme of Australian nature was the right move. One that would have more thistle than mistletoe, and more surf than snow. That is what our Christmases are about after all. |
